I met Jonathan at C2E2 this year and picked up a copy of his book after having a really great author to author talk and realizing we had a lot of common interests in subject matter. I finally got around to starting The Thin Ice and I love it! It is very much a contemporary to Lovecraft. Stories told in the first person. Slowly opening plots with a great conclusion. An overall macabre tone. There's also a great deal of attention to detail given to making sure there is a clear differentiation between the character personalities in each story. I met this author at the C2E2 convention in Chicago and grabbed a copy of his book. Not sure what to fully expect and what I got was well worth it. This book is a collection of short stories that delve into some crazy places. Each story had me hooked from the onset and each story had me thinking well past the point of completion. If you are a fan of Sci-Fi/Horror then don't miss this hidden gem. Keep up the good work I am looking forward to your next book.
