The book is a great round-by-round guide to the career of the biggest pay-per-view stars of the last decades. Paz has a great knowledge of boxing history. There is a lot of comparative history throughout the book. There's great very detailed minute by minute replay on some of the biggest fights in the last 20 years. You could easily visualize the fights. There is no fan boy or hate stuff as we get with both boxing fans and media. This is an unbiased analysis of the positive and negative events associated with these boxers. The author discloses he paid to watch fights and did not accept any free tickets. Boxing Quintuple Champions De La Hoya Mayweather and Pacquiao Edition eBook Armando Paz Reviews

I didn’t know what to expect when I first started to read this book as there is already a lot of stuff written in books and on the internet on these guys. The book goes into great detail on their background and the many struggles and challenges that De La Hoya, Mayweather, and Pacquiao overcame to become not once, but several times a world champion. De La Hoya losing his mom at 17, winning the gold medal, and the training involved to fight in different weight divisions. Mayweather would have to overcome a tough domestic situation (dad thrown in jail, mom fighting drug addiction) in order to just focus on boxing. I enjoyed the story of how Pacquiao left his family in order to make his boxing career while at times going hungry. After reading the book, there is a more deep respect and admiration for what these guys accomplished. There is also many unbiased ringside fight analysis on these accomplished fighters. I felt like I got three books for the price of one! Great buy!
A lot of information in this book. You can tell the author was not only familiar with the subject matter; but genuinely loved it. This was a great read. I personally found the material to be extremely interesting, and the writing to be first rate. I've never seen a book that is as detailed without being boring whatsoever. Both the fighters personal lives and professional careers are explored, making for a truly great read. I would strongly recommend this book to any boxing lover.
